Sticky bbq rib sauce with infused herbs that you most probably already have on hand in the kitchen! Sticky and falling off the bone with every bite.
Prep time: 4hrs or 12hrs to marinate
Cook Time: 2hr 25mins Serves: 3-4
Utensils:
Slow cooker
Tonks
Mixing bowl (for marinate) optional
Mixing bowl for chicken
Fork
Oven tray
Ingredients:
1kg chicken nibbles (drumsticks and wings)
1/4 cup Smokey BBQ Sauce
1/4 Barbecue Sauce
Full bottle - BBQ Rib Sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Salt & Pepper
Sesame seeds(optional)
Dried herbs:
Thyme Leaves
Garlic Steak seasoning
Chipotle dry marinate
Parsley
Pinch steps:
Pinch 1: Place chicken into a bowl, and make marinate in a separate bowl and taste marinate with your finger/ spoon for extra spices, salt and pepper. (In this recipe I marinated everything in one bowl but you can aswell but if you would like to taste the marinate do separately)
Pinch 2: Once happy with marinate tip into chicken bowl and thoroughly mix it with your hands. (will coat evenly with using your hands). Then leave to marinate for 12 hours or at least 4 hours. The longer you leave it the better the flavours and spices will be.
Pinch 3: Place all marinated chicken into the slow cooker, with all excess marinate over the top. Let slow cook for 2 hours.
Pinch 4:After 2 hours grab all chicken out of the slow cooker and put on an oven tray. Coat with remaining marinade. Place into the oven for 15 minutes to crispy.
Pinch 5: After 15 minutes in the oven, turn chicken over and add more marinate with a pinch of sesame seeds for a nice crunch. Place back in the oven for 10 minutes.
Pinch 6: After 10 minutes remove chicken from oven and serve hot with rice and sauce.
Sauces:
-BBQ
-Sweet chilli sauce
-Sour cream with lime and chives.
